I've backed over 10 projects

I've backed over 10 projects on kickstarter and only been disappointed once. It's crowdfunding so you gotta keep that in mind when you "buy" anything here. I've never had a bad experience with kickstarter themselves. Sometimes the wait has been waaay too long and one time I didn't get what I paid for - but that's the name of the crowdfunding game. I'll use kickstarter again sometime soon.

Supported a project, but never got what I paid for. Kickstarter's customer service took forever to respond, usually 4-6 weeks, and when they did, they just redirected me to the project, which was clearly a scam. Unless Kickstarter steps up and ensures some guarantees for backers, more scammers will keep popping up with projects. Don't support projects unless you're prepared to lose your money.

They scammers 100%. I paid for scooter £1500, but I change my mind and seller refund, but kickstarter stolen £100 because payment was via kickstarter, So, I received only £1399. They criminal scammers. Don`t trust and don`t pay via kickstarter.

Despite not providing the information and losing the email, I attempted to contact both Rollingfinger and Peoplepie multiple times without any response. When I turned to Kickstarter for assistance, they claimed ignorance about Rollingfinger and suggested I resolve the matter independently. Despite threatening a negative review, Kickstarter remained unresponsive. This ordeal has cost me a significant amount of money, and the lack of contact details for the company adds to the frustration. My two months of grappling with this issue have left me with a resolution nowhere in sight. I will steer clear of Kickstarter in the future.

Absolutely awful.

Absolutely awful. Once a decent platform, now it's a playground for scammers. If by some miracle you receive the product, it's nothing like what they promised. Trying to get your money back or the correct product is futile; they ignore your emails completely. It's a total scam. They let the so-called "creators" take your money and offer zero protection for backers. Keep your distance, it's not worth the risk.

It seems like Kickstarter allows anyone to launch a campaign, take money from consumers, and fail to deliver the promised product. The platform takes its share but doesn't address the issue of funds being swindled for undelivered goods. I won't be using Kickstarter again, and I plan to report this matter to my state's Attorney General.

This company is terrible and forgets about you once they have your money. I bought something 4 years ago and only got vague updates, claiming they shipped items over a year ago. They ignore emails, and the project site remains unchanged. I will NEVER USE THEM AGAIN, and you shouldn't either.

Be careful with kickstarter!

Be careful with kickstarter! Even if a project gets fully funded and the creators decide to take the money, backers are left with no support. Kickstarter won’t help anyone who’s been tricked. As a backer, you’re just a way for kickstarter and frauds to make quick cash off of you.
