According to their 'Terms and Conditions,' I was out of luck. After a frustrating back-and-forth with customer service, where empathy was in short supply, they grudgingly offered me a mere 50% refund as a 'gesture of goodwill.' SCAM - Avoid

Unfortunately I have to agree with all the other reviewers who have called this a scam. I was persuaded by the 'risk-free guarantee' to try out the software. It is not as good as many of the alternatives out there, (just google AI Language learning and you will find a raft of options, many of which offer a genuine free trial). So I cancelled it, and was told they don't give refunds, despite offering a risk-free, cancel any time, guarantee. Avoid this company, choose one of the alternatives. UPDATE: Like many of the other reviewers I applied for a refund through PayPal. It was unsuccessful. So AVOID THIS COMPANY. IT IS A TOTAL SCAM.

They didn't let me review what I'd pay, plan details, subscription length, or renewal dates. I okayed PayPal, then they hit me with add-ons (5 pages! Click "ignore," get another). I closed it and boom, charged. Asked for a refund, they said no - stuck with the subscription. They charged before confirming! Program's not even good! Chat's slow, 5 secs to translate each sentence, hit send. Just vocab and grammar tips. Feels like a cheat. I use Frantastique and Amigo chat, way better. Paid $50 for 6 months - okay, but warn others. Don't trust their logo's money-back promise, scammers!!

I am invoking the Consummer Protection Act due to what I believe is misleading advertising by your platform. The features advertised, particularly the speaking feature, are practically non-existent. There is no speaking button, and all interactions are exclusively written, often riddled with grammatical errors and incorrect feedback. I indicated that I have a B2 intermediate level in the language I wished to practice, but the platform only allows me access to a basic level, which is entirely inadequate for my needs. I have read numerous negative comments in hundreds of reviews, highlighting similar issues and suggesting a truly predatory approach by your company. Given these concerns, I am requesting a refund and expect a prompt resolution to this matter.

SCAM!!!!!! The app and service is nothing even like what is promised - garbage - dont believe when they tell you ''Your own speaking plan: Made for you, based on your quiz answers'' - there is zero nothing personlized here and options are so basic with few options. They also sign you up to an ongoing subscription to keep taking payments and there is no way to cancel this. The emails before payment mention online chat on the website for assistance - this doesnt exist!! - and good luck getting in touch with them by email on any of their addresses as no reply or the emails bounce.

The first warning sign is that it is NOT an App. That means for IOS users that the so-called App can't get through Apple's admission criteria for inclusion in the App Store. It is a WebApp, so it's super cheap and fast to produce. There is no study plan, resources, or FAQ area. Also, the grading appears to be bogus. This WebApp is all about taking your money. I certainly want mine back!! Don't pay; there is no guarantee. You will lose your money.

I contacted them, and they reimbursed the fee immediately! Happy to keep using MYF. I asked my Spanish tutor to focus on Mexican Spanish, not Spanish from Spain, and the change was immediate.

The idea is great, but it's obvious this app was launched before proper testing. I subscribed and feel like a guinea pig as they fix issues. I've contacted customer support countless times, and I'm fed up. Don't waste money on this. Also, their false advertising on Instagram claiming they wanted volunteers was just a scam to get you to subscribe.

Do not buy, they will not make any refunds even in the first 24 hours. The interface is really so complicated and not compatible. Voice recognition is not working well. Webapp has serious problems, customer service has a refund policy based on ‘not giving any refund’!

Do not use this product

Signed up for a three month subscription and then was charged for another three months without notice. Tried to get money back for something I dont want or use. They dont care and just want to steal your money. Terrible service. Theft.

One feature I use often is the space to type your response, which provides the translation. This helps in gaining fluency with prompt, natural answers for learning!

I like this app. It's not flawless, but it's getting better and better. It works great alongside a real teacher or tutor. The best part is being able to practice whenever and wherever with immediate feedback. My fluency has really picked up as I learn to think and speak in my target language. Definitely recommended.

The content is good for grown-ups, which suits me. Lots of different things to learn about. I wish the words were bigger. Even with my glasses, it's hard to read smoothly. It would be nice to have the option to listen slower, especially as I'm new, and then speed up as I get better.

The web app didn't show you your subscription and end date.

You will forget the poor app until you find your credit card was charged by it. When you log in to your account you can't find somewhere to show your purchase and end date and of course, there is no CANCEL subscription button. You reach customer support and it's hard to reach out to deal with the problem. Don't buy this app.

The company consistently adds new material, which is convenient for me to use during spare moments. The exercises challenge me to improve my skills. However, I encounter difficulties with accessing the interactive talking exercises. It seems that the company is overwhelmed by its own success. Accessing the platform in the mornings in the UK works fine, but evenings are problematic. I hope they address this issue soon. On a positive note, I appreciate being able to access materials in other languages as well, all included in one price, which I find to be a great deal.

I just started using this app and I love it. While I had been studying Spanish for 10 months, the biggest obstacle was becoming conversational as I don’t really have anyone to practice with. This app is the answer. I can use it many times a day. You can talk about everything and it gives quick feedback on the accuracy of language use. It also allows you to choose to speak with a male or female voice and lets you adjust the speed. The feedback is fast and helps you to improve every day. I plan to use this to supplement my tutor and Duolingo. So far, I really like it.

At first, I wasn't sure about it because my first language, Korean, isn't available, but now that I’m learning German through English, I think it’s a really good app. I believe it will be helpful in my studies later on. I am a bit unhappy with the payment system though. The options are all over the place, and I find myself unsure when paying for single items. But that’s just my own view. It’s a good app overall. It would be nice to take inspiration from the interface of other great apps.

I kinda like this company. It's more realistic than other services I've tried. The support feels more like real-life interactions. I'm a bit scared to speak French, but my daughter goes to a French immersion school, and I want to keep up with her and support her. I liked the AI assistant ;) it's really cool. Another thing is that it's just hard to remember and memorize all the words and phrases, but the more I listen and read, the more I remmber.

When I don’t know a word, I just ask, and the reply is always clear with enough context, so it’s easier to understand and learn. A very good method for learning a new language!
