Ebid is simple to use, charges low fees, and offers great customer service. I've sold some stuff this year, just a hobby for me, so I'm pleased with Ebid. Some buyers were unsure at first because they didn't know Ebid, so trust was an issue. Maybe advertising on social media could help in the future.

I signed up for this platform with the intention of selling some of my items. The website and promotional materials clearly stated, "Don't forget.. It's free to list on eBid!" However, upon attempting to list items, I discovered that it is not, in fact, free to list. You are informed that you need to pay for an account (silver, gold, platinum) with various upfront subscription fees. If I had known this, I wouldn't have wasted my time signing up and providing them with my data. I would advise avoiding this platform if you are a seller.

They asked for a photo pass to confirm identity, which is understandable, but their approach raised some red flags for me. I received multiple emails about a single mistake in a Q&A session, each one more threatening than the last. Then, out of the blue, they claim to be conducting random security checks and surprise, I'm the chosen one after years of no such checks. Now, my account is suspended until I provide my photo ID. It feels like a sneaky way to get rid of lifetime subscribers. While I'll comply with their request, this tactic leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
